What is the early bird/late bird schedule?

Cabrillo’s early bird/late bird schedule is a unique use of instructional time that dedicates the entire first hour and last hour of the day to reading instruction in a small group setting of about 10 to 12 students. The teacher divides his/her class carefully to better meet individual student’s language arts needs. Placement is determined during the first two weeks of school; students will then be on an early bird or late bird schedule for the remainder of the school year. Early Bird/Late Bird schedule begins Mon 9/13.

When will I find out my student’s teacher?

Class rosters will be posted during School Year’s Eve, which is an opportunity to come to campus, find your classroom, and learn who your teacher will be. It’s also an opportunity to get connected to our PTA!

Is there a school supply list?

Cabrillo will provide students with all necessary supplies for learning. However, if you would like to support your student’s class by donating additional supplies or to find out what supplies you may want to have handy at home, please click below.

Where can I buy a Cabrillo t-shirt or PTA membership?

The Cub Store is your one-stop shop for spirit wear, PTA memberships, and PTA event tickets during the school year.

Back to School orders placed before 10am on Monday 8/30 will be available for pickup at the PTA table during School Year’s Eve. Orders placed after this cutoff or not picked up during School Year’s Eve will be delivered to your student’s classroom within 2-3 days.

Will my student need to wear a mask?

Yes. In-person instruction requires effective COVID-19 safety measures, including wearing masks. Please practice mask-wearing and build your student’s tolerance now! Click to learn more about Wiseburn Unified School District’s in-person health and safety protocols.

Can I walk my student to class?

No. Parents/caregivers will not be permitted on campus, and students may either be dropped off from your vehicle or at one of the walker stations outside the gates.

What if I need before/after school care?

On-campus before and after school care is offered through Right at School (RAS). There are several home daycare providers who offer drop off/pick up services and off-campus care in the neighborhood as well.
